What can I do for you my dear, my dear.
What can I do for you my dear.
What can I do for you my dear, my dear.
What can I do, what can I do, what can I do...
My stepfather always said the first part of this when my daughter would approach him for something. Knowing him, I believe it would have come from an old song - but not necessarily a lullaby.
I now sing this to my grand daughter as she is drifting to sleep for daytime naps. Not sure how much its in my memory and how much I have made-up to make it sound right.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
