"Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock..."

by Anna
(Savannah, GA)

"Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock"..."When the clock struck, never to run again. When the old man died."
My grandmother used to sing this song to me when I would play with my Fisher Price Music Box Teaching Clock...this was the song it played. My daughters have heard me hum and sing a few words to it as they play with my toy and we all are interested in learning the lyrics.

Hi Anna,

I am 84 years old and used to sing
My Grandfather's Clock.

I remember some parts, one about him being born and one about him bringing his bride home.

I have found two links for you
that I hope you will enjoy.

I have been surprised to find so many old songs
that my parent's sang to me.

Go to Google and YouTube and search for anything.

I have found songs that I never thought i would find.

I can absolutely NOT thank you enough for this! My girls will be as thrilled as I am, if not more, to have the lyrics to this song.
You are awesome, "Anonymous"!

Grandfather's Clock
by: Anonymous

Grandfather's clock was too tall for the shelf
So it stood 90 years on the floor.
It was taller by half than the old man himself
Though it weighed not a pennyweight more.
It was bought on the morn
Of the day that he was born,
It was always his treasure and pride,
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died.
