Don't know the first words or title!

"Through your window the stars will shine, in this magic that people call the night. Soon the moon will appear, close your eyes, don't you fear, for I'll be with you the whole night through ..."

This snatch of words has run through my head on and off for decades. I have been unable to find anyone who knows it. I'd love to know where it came from.
